Something went BOOOOM ! in North Korea day before yesterday and the communist state said it was a nuclear bomb test!

The underground explosion in a tunnel dug deep inside a mountain was pretty small.

It was equal to about 800 tons of high explosive.

By comparison,the two American atomic bombs dropped on Japan at the end of  II World was in 1945 were 15000 and 21000 tons!

The explosion said to have been"conducted with 100% indigenous wisdom and technology"makes North Korea the eighthcountry in the world to have a nuclear capacity.

America immediately condemed the test as a "provocative act"and the US and Britain called for immediate action by the UN security council.

The Americans want immediate sanctions and even countries such as Russia,which are more friendly now want North Korea to return at once to international talks.

Tony Snow,a spokesman for the American president,said the US "reaffirms its commitment to protect and defend oue allies in the region!".

America regards Sorth Korea,as a friend and American soldiers have been stationed there for more than 50 years
